Adept at designing both small city condos and large suburban homes & townhomes, Ebonee puts her client’s taste into action. Her work can be found in residences and commercial spaces across the DC metro area, from North Virginia to Chevy Chase, Maryland. With her friendly approach and savvy taste, no job is too small or big for her.
Ebonee Bachman, owner of Moonlight Interiors, knew she was destined to be an interior designer when she was a little girl. Ebonee would peruse the real estate section of the Washington Post for houses and floor plans so she could imagine how she would decorate the homes. When she was 9 years old, she built her own Barbie Dream House complete with custom furniture by using scrap wood and fabric remnants.
Ebonee pursued her dream by studying Interior Design at Radford University. After college she worked at furniture retail establishments in the Washington DC area including Belfort Furniture and Ethan Allen. Ebonee received her big break in interior design at Shea Studio Interiors where she mastered the art of project management and exceeding client expectations.
Before founding her own company, Moonlight Interiors, Ebonee took a break from the interior design industry to join the United Stated Army Reserve. Going through basic training and learning soldier skills was a challenge that stretched her to the limit and made her grow both physically and mentally. Ebonee currently serves as a Sergeant in the Army Reserve. She’s looking forward to attending airborne school this fall.
Ebonee thinks the best part about being an interior designer is seeing the improvement to her clients’ quality of life after the transformation of their home. Redesigning your home is a personal experience and she likes being part of that process. Ebonee continues to expand her knowledge and skills as an interior designer. She is pursuing a Masters Degree in Project Management and is working towards taking the NCIDQ exam.
Ebonee enjoys decorating her row house in Washington, D.C. that she shares with her husband Randy, cat Daisy, and energetic Black Lab puppy, Duke. She is an avid supporter of the performing arts and charitable organizations in Washington DC. In her spare times she loves to sew, dance, and read. She is an enthusiastic supporter of small businesses in her neighborhood, H St North East.
